How did we make it?

To build our automated pet feeder, our group collaborated to combine hardware and software in an IOT-based solution. We used an Orange Pi as the central controller, connected to a camera module that used AI image recognition to monitor the food bowl. The AI model was trained to detect whether the bowl was empty or full. When the bowl was detected as empty, the Orange Pi triggered a motor mechanism to dispense food automatically. Additionally, we integrated data logging and real-time monitoring by sending feeding data to an online dashboard. This allowed for remote tracking and analysis of the feeder's performance and the animals' eating habits.
