How did we make it?

We built an easy-to-use voting system designed for live use at events that requires visitors to vote. The system included a real-time dashboard that displayed team scores and incoming votes, as well as a management dashboard with administrative controls to ban specific voting cards, remove votes if necessary, and export voting data. The voting is based on NFC-technology, allowing users to vote quickly and easily. Visitors were given unique NFC tags, while students and staff could use their existing campus cards. Our system made sure it wasn't possible to vote on yourself, or for the same person to vote twice. All voting data was stored in a SQL database hosted on the Thomas More datacenter, ensuring uptime and easy data management. This setup allowed for a simple and secure voting experience.
